Ampersand's Birch Wood Panels are perfect for all artists, from aspiring beginners to seasoned professionals. These high-quality birch panels do not have seams, distinct knots, or "football" patches that can lead to cracks and damaged to artwork.
Birch panels can be used with a variety of media. With the exception of encaustics and pyrography, it is strongly recommended to seal and prime all unprimed panels before use. Once sealed and primed, the rigid plywood surface is perfect for mixed media, collage, and heavy paint applications like pouring.
